My rice cooker died on Thursday. I went to make rice and AN HOUR later it still wasn’t done. My husband and I sadly laid it to rest in our garbage can.

Friday we went shopping and brought home a rice cooker/ veggie steamer. This thing is SOOO great. We eat ALOT of rice so a rice cooker is a necessity… and it being able to do veggies at the same time just makes it better.

Andrew is not amused by our excitement… this self proclaimed carnivore avoids most veggies at all costs. The only ones that make it past his lips are potatoes and that’s mainly in the form of french fries. Oh well… maybe all the veggie steaming i’m going to do over the next few weeks will get him to try something….

At least Chuck is as excited about the new appliance as I am.
