Every once in awhile life conspires to completely wear you out….
Well yesterday was my day…
First off was Mary’s workshop performance. She did wonderfully. It really didn’t require much on my part except for dropping her off at 8:45 am and returning for her performance and to pick her up… which is a nice change from our old school.
We ran home at 2pm and had pizza for lunch/dinner and then Andrew was off to his baseball game at 4:15pm.
He did well also. He got 2 hits this time… so he is improving. This game didn’t count as the other team had to forfeit since they didn’t have enough players but our team rotated a couple of kids to the field for them and everyone had a good practice game.
Mary and I left the game early since we had to be in richmond for the Indigo girls show at 7pm. The opening act was a guy named Evan McHugh. From what I could hear over the REALLY RUDE people around me he sounded pretty good. Mary and I had a great view. The National (were the show was) is an old movie theater. They removed the seats downstairs and put in a couple small bars. There are a couple raised platforms in the back that allow short people (like mary and i) to see over the heads of the crowd in front of the stage.
For anyone familiar with Lancaster PA… think the Chameleon but bigger and with a REAL stage…. you’ll get the idea.
The only real problem the whole evening was the absolute b!tc# that was standing next to me…. first she was rude about the opener and then had the nerve to complain that the Indigo Girls went on stage just over 2 hours after the doors opened…
The time frame of the evening was this 7pm- doors open, 8:01pm Evan starts his set, 8:45pm Evan ends his set and the equipment gets changed over, 9:10pm the Indigo Girls walk onstage and begin their set…. that’s pretty good for a live show…. the b!tc# next to me walked out at about 9:05pm….
Here are a few pics I got with my phone…. the qualiy sucks but you can see how good my view was.
