I have had one heck of a week and it is only tuesday.  You really would think that kids would get the urge to cut their own hair out of their systems early… like at 3 or4.  Apparently not… my almost 9 year old daughter cut not only her hair but her 6 year old brother’s as well over the week end.  Cutting her brother’s hair is not so bad… he gets his hair cut super short a couple times a year for one reason or another.  But her hair is another story… she has very long (over half way down her back long) hair that needs to be in a bun for ballet class… all of it has to be pulled back and her hair around her face JUST got long enough to make it into the ponytail.  So what does she do… she chops of a section about the size a quarter down to maybe an inch and a half.  I almost cried when I found out.  she also cut another section to slightly shorter than bang length… so now she has long heavy bangs to cover this up and we start the hair growing process ALL OVER AGAIN.

I also got an email from my friend Becky this morning that she had to put down one of her hamsters.  The poor thing had gotten her leg stuck in her water bottle holder and broken it.  RIP Hammy… you will be missed.
